PORTRAIT INFORMATION

Oil portraits are painted on stretched double-primed linen canvas, with staple-free edge, so they are suitable with or without framing. Only the most permanent pigments are used and you may specify any type background you wish. If in doubt, a plain toned background is always appropriate, especially with head and torso portraits.

Framing is not included. I strongly advise using a professional framer who can recommend a frame that will display the portrait to the best advantage for your situation.

Pencil sketching portraits are also available (See Chart).  I use 2B and 6B pencils and the paper is acid-free of the finest quality that is sprayed to preserve the sketch.

The portraits are painted from your favorite photograph. The photos you send should be of good quality and should be sharp, with accurate color and good detail, especially of the head. Send as many photos as you like and mark the one you want used as the main one. All photos (sent through the mail) will be returned to you with your finished portrait.

All artwork can be reproduced and purchased at a cost of $25.  So if you would like a reproduction of my “911 Tragedy”, for instance, or if you would like a reproduction (or several) of YOUR purchased portrait, just let me know.
